This blog started before I even knew it was a blog.

Back in Cuba, while working as a teacher at the University of Informatics Sciences, I created a weekly column called Pixeles. Every week, I shared my photos and my favorite images from photographers around the world, wrote about what I was learning, and built a small community of people who loved photography as much as I did.

I didn't know it then, but that column was the beginning of everything. The same instinct that made me want to share, teach, and connect through images is what drives every session I photograph and every heirloom I restore today.

This journal is the grown-up version of Pixeles. Welcome.

What you'll find here.

This is an evolving collection of insights, stories, and practical guidance across photography, personal branding, and the art of preserving memory. Some posts will help you prepare for a session. Some will take you behind the scenes of a restoration. Some are just stories worth telling.

  • Personal branding photography: How to prepare for your brand photoshoot, build a strong visual identity, and show up on camera as the most aligned version of yourself.
  • Photo restoration stories: The people, the photographs, and the moments behind the restorations. These are some of the most meaningful stories I get to tell.
  • Behind the lens: How I approach sessions, what it's like working together, and the creative process behind each image.
  • The people I photograph: Entrepreneurs, professionals, creatives, and families across Miami who are building something worth documenting.

Two services, one mission.

As a personal brand photographer based in Coral Gables, I work with entrepreneurs, professionals, and creatives across Miami who are ready to show up online as the most aligned version of themselves. Whether you're building a business, launching something new, or simply overdue for photos that actually look like you, the right images change everything.

Alongside the portrait work, I restore old family photographs for families across Miami and South Florida. Damaged prints, faded portraits, images touched by water or time or decades in a drawer: most can be brought back, and every restoration I do is handled with the same care I bring to every session behind the camera.

Both services come from the same place: a belief that the moments worth living are the ones worth preserving.

Based in Coral Gables. Serving all of Miami.

Odette Photo+Art serves clients throughout Coral Gables, Brickell, Coconut Grove, Wynwood, South Beach, and the wider Miami-Dade area. Portrait sessions take place on-location across Miami and South Florida. Photo restoration clients can reach me from anywhere.

Come back often.

New posts go up regularly across brand photography, restoration stories, and everything in between. If something you read here makes you want to book a session or restore a photograph, reach out.

And if you just want to read, that's welcome too.
