Last year, I embarked on the journey of my lifetime: a two-week trip to Europe with my best friend Pablo (Max, el Viajero, in Youtube).

I had been dreaming about visiting Europe since I was 17 when my aunt gifted me a travel magazine about Vienna. Living in Cuba, I never thought I could ever go there.

But 20 years later, my dream came true: I finally got to experience all of Europe's beauty, culture, and history.

My Europe trip was filled with one incredible experience after another. In two weeks, Pablo and I visited nine countries. We included some of the most iconic sites, from the Colosseum in Rome to the Eiffel Tower in Paris. The classics. It was an awe-inspiring experience.

Everywhere I went, friendly faces and fascinating stories surrounded me. By the third country, I realized I needed to create a powerful visual and emotional narrative of my trip.

I was in awe of the stunning architecture, the breathtaking landscapes, the incredible food, and the vibrant cultures. I could feel the ancient history. But what truly captivated me was the people I encountered. As a professional portrait photographer, I wanted to document the people, the places, and the feelings.

I decided to embark on a photography project to capture the faces of Europe.

I spent the next few days visiting different cities and photographing the people I met. I was drawn to their unique features, the stories behind their eyes, and the warmth of their smiles. I wanted to capture their essence and share it with the world.

The Faces of Europe portrait project was born. I created a portfolio of images that showcased the diversity of the people I met. I documented joy, sadness, hope, and love.

Faces of Europe is more than just a photography project – it was a way for me to connect with the people I met and to share their stories with the world.

When I look at these photos, the memories and experiences are still as vivid and meaningful as ever.

It was a unique and powerful experience that I will never forget.
